Ladies and gentlemen, have you ever heard of a delivery gone terribly wrong? Picture this: a peaceful day in Washington state turned into a nightmare for Ray and Karin Ishak, who are desperately searching for their 13-year-old cat, Feefee. The twist? Their motion-activated security camera seems to have caught an Amazon delivery driver taking their beloved pet right from their driveway!
Let’s dive into the details. It was July 21 when the Ishaks last saw Feefee. Their security footage shows the driver petting the cat, which seemed harmless at first. However, moments later, both the driver and Feefee were nowhere to be seen. Now, imagine the shock and confusion the Ishaks must have felt!
Ray Ishak told KKTV, “We saw when the driver was leaving. She was petting the cat and playing with the cat, which is not abnormal.” But then, “The driver driving away, and there’s not a cat in sight. It’s pretty obvious the cat disappeared in those seconds,” he added. Talk about a mysterious vanishing act!
The couple quickly reached out to Amazon, who confirmed via email that the driver had indeed taken Feefee. But here’s where things get even murkier. Amazon claimed the driver contacted local police to return the cat. However, Ray’s calls to the sheriff’s department and the Everett Police Department yielded no information about Feefee being brought in. Frustrating, right?
To add to the heartbreak, this happened the same weekend as their son’s wedding. Ray described the painful moment of having to lie to his grandchildren about Feefee being safe, only for them to find out the truth later. “The emotional distress for me having to lie to my grandkids that the cat is safe and fine.
Then, watching my granddaughters cry after they found out because they heard us talk about it. It was a double whammy from every single front,” he said.
Despite their efforts, the Ishaks are still pressing Amazon for more details about the driver’s location. But so far, Amazon has only recommended they file a theft report with law enforcement.
Ray and Karin hold on to hope that the driver might have mistaken Feefee for a stray and are pleading for the cat’s return. Ray even directed a heartfelt appeal to the driver, “Maybe you did this out of the kindness of your heart. I appreciate it, but bring me my cat back.”
This isn’t the first time a delivery driver has caused distress for pet owners. Earlier this month in North Carolina, a FedEx driver was arrested for stealing a $5,500 French Bulldog named Tori during his route, tragically leaving the dog to die in his sweltering truck.
Folks, this story is a stark reminder of the unexpected twists that can come with our everyday deliveries. The Ishaks’ story tugs at our hearts and serves as a plea for compassion and understanding. Let’s hope Feefee is safely returned to her family soon.
